Meet Our Pastor!
Da Yean Kim started serving as our pastor since August 2018 (back then, we were Joyful English Ministry). He graduated from Talbot Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation (Talbot). He has worked with the second-generation Korean-Americans as a pastor in a number of churches since 2000.
He is passionate about God's grace for the broken soul, and the journey towards wholeness (especially the desert phase). His interests include theology, building things, philosophy, art, and corny jokes. He is an INFP/J. He is married to Erica and has a son (Elias) and a daughter (Eden).
Other than being a pastor, Da Yean teaches at a small Christian college, and regularly provides counseling.
